An admissions advisor with the Wharton MBA is expected to be well versed in every aspect of both the Wharton MBA program and the Wharton MBA Admissions process. Questions and advising typically range from deep cultural aspects of the Wharton program to specific advice in crafting strong applications to Wharton. They will be required to use that knowledge in order to help recruit students to apply to the program.

Reporting to the Director of Operations within the Office of MBA Admissions. The role of MBA Admissions Advisor in the Wharton Conversations Program is an externally facing role responsible for direct 1-1 counseling of prospective Wharton MBA Program applicants.
This role is required to be available for prospective students to schedule time on their personal calendars for individual or group advising sessions. Each advising session is approximately one hour long and is inclusive of 30-40 minutes of advising and answering questions in order to prepare students to apply to the Wharton MBA and 20 minutes of documentation post appointments. Over the course of a calendar year an admissions advisor is expected to devote approximately 200 hours to advising phone calls.
In addition to participation in the Wharton MBA Admissions conversations program this advisor and ambassador role will also be part of some Wharton MBA Program recruitment and interview activities throughout the admissions cycle year.

Knowledge of the Wharton MBA Program and Wharton MBA Admissions is required. A Wharton MBA Admissions Advisor must be a good public speaker, have the ability to speak with confidence about the Wharton MBA Program and Wharton MBA Admissions. The ability to give good advice and put applicants at ease is a must. A collaborative team player who demonstrates executive presence, poise and genuine esprit de corps is required to ensure that prospective students to the Wharton MBA program are well advised and leave their experience with the advisor believing there are on the precipice of crafting the strongest application they can to the Wharton MBA Program
