The School of Business at Augustana University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Data Analytics and Management Information Systems beginning Spring 2025 or Fall 2025.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Support the School of Business’ course offerings in Management Information Systems and Data Analytics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Teaching load is three classes in the Fall and Spring semesters and one course in the January term. Demonstrate a record of scholarly activity and research Contribute to student success through advising and mentoring Engage in service to the department, university, and community Outreach with local and regional businesses.

Required Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will have a terminal degree in Management Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related field. Candidates with professional experience and a Master’s degree will also be considered. Demonstrated experience teaching in Management Information Systems and/or Data Analytics at the university level. Experience teaching Project Management is a plus. Professional or teaching experience in Fintech is highly desired.

Interacting with students, faculty and leadership with different backgrounds and points of view and a deep appreciation of and respect for academic values and culture must be a top value of the candidate.
