About the Aron Lab
The Aron Lab is located in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the University of Denver. The Aron Lab utilizes multi-omics methods including cutting-edge mass spectrometry-based metabolomics, sequencing, genome mining, and microbiology to interrogate microbe-microbe, and microbe-host interactions by delineating small molecules underlying these interactions. We are particularly interested in how metal-binding molecules mediate these interactions. The Aron lab is a highly interdisciplinary, collaborative, and inclusive environment.
Position Summary
The Aron lab is seeking to hire a new postdoctoral fellow to work on elucidating novel microbial metal-binding small molecules from human microbiota. Candidates interested in gaining expertise in untargeted and computational mass spectrometry should apply. Candidates are solicited with experience in microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, natural products, and/or analytical chemistry. The available position is fully funded through an NIH grant; we will also encourage and support postdoctoral funding applications and will help you build a portfolio that matches your career goals.
