The Department of Chemical & Systems Biology at Stanford University seeks a Ph.D. or M.D/Ph.D. scientists with a remarkable record of accomplishments who will establish an innovative and original research program to join the department at any rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) in the University Tenure Line. We are particularly interested in candidates with interests in quantitative biology, systems biology, or physical biology, but outstanding candidates in any area that complements the department’s current research are welcome. Stanford offers an exceptionally rich environment for creative interdisciplinary biomedical research.
The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The expected base pay range for this position is:
Assistant: $185,000 - $203,000
Associate: $218,000 - $242,000
Full Professor: $266,000 - $296,000
This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
