St. Charles Community College seeks a part-time Head Coach - eSports responsible for the administration of all aspects of the eSport programs including coaching, recruiting, student-athlete mentoring and ensuring program compliance with the NJCAA, MCCAC and College rules and regulations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Achieving a high level of competence in sport skill instruction, motivation, and conduct of practice sessions.Providing effective sport instruction during meets.Recruiting student-athletes effectively under the direction of the Athletic Director.Exhibiting the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with regard to adherence to NJCAA, MCCAC, College and the Department of Athletics Code of Conduct.Achieving competitive results that demonstrate athletic excellence.Demonstrating a sincere interest in the social, emotional, academic development, as well as the athletic welfare of student-athletes.Exhibiting supportive and cooperative behavior in pursuing sport program goals established by the Athletic Director.Exhibiting leadership and professional behavior in dealing with student-athletes.Completing all assignments given by the Director of Athletics including but not limited to recruitment and fundraising.Participating in department meetings and workshops to increase professional skills and knowledge.Contributing to the maintenance of good working relationships within the Athletic Department and with the rest of the college community.Assuming other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor's degree.Coaching experience at the college level (head/assistant), head or assistant coach at the senior high school level, or as a college or professional player.Demonstrate effective organizational, promotional, recruitment, fundraising, and computer skills.Knowledge of PrestoSports.Experience with NJCAA compliance matters.Experience with NJCAA rules and regulations.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills.
