Your opportunity:
The Rotman Office of Recruitment, Admissions and Business Development (RABD) recruits and admits talented professionals who aim to push their limits, expand their creativity and develop their leadership potential via one of the School’s nine graduate management programs. The RABD team will achieve this goal using industry-standard best practices in strategic enrolment management.
As a Recruitment Officer, Diversity and Outreach you will be part of an innovative, dynamic and collaborative team committed to delivering an exceptional experience for prospective candidates of Rotman’s graduate programs. A critical member of the RABD team, this role will lead initiatives to attract and support a diverse student body. The Recruitment Officer, Diversity and Outreach will be a data-driven individual who will implement strategies and approaches to identify diverse top talent from domestic and international markets for our suite of graduate business programs.
In this role, you will work with colleagues across the RABD portfolio and the Rotman School, and be a key contributor to a dynamic and strategic enrolment management -driven recruitment and admissions operation dedicated to shaping the incoming classes of transformational graduate business programs at the University of Toronto.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Fostering and maintaining a network of external contacts to support recruitment strategies
- Determining appropriate schools to visit based on an analysisof feedback and market trends
- Promoting programs at recruitment events
- Delivering student recruitment presentations
- Keeping well-informed on theories related to equity, diversity and inclusion
- Conducting detailed data analysis to inform recruitment strategies and plans
- Keeping well-informed on University programs, policies and procedures
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalentexperience.
- Minimum four years working in enrollment management, recruitment, admissions, student affairs or a related area, preferably in a graduate business program environment.
- Experience conducting student recruitment presentations to a wide range of audiences and promoting programs.
- Proven track record of working on equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives, either in higher education or another relevant sector.
- Experience working with diverse populations and community outreach programs.
- Demonstrated experience applying fundamental concepts of strategic enrolment management in a student recruitment setting
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and comfortable presenting to groups (5-300)
- Solid interpersonal, intercultural and customer service skills, including the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters
- Understanding of the challenges and barriers faced by underrepresented student populations inaccessing higher education.
- Strong computer skills (e.g. Word, Excel, Access)
