The Financial Aid Office’s focus is to eliminate unnecessary barriers to college access and completion. Our goal is to simplify the financial aid process as much as possible, and to make sure students are always engaged and aware of the next step. Our office allows us to reach students earlier and more efficiently, to have important conversations with students about their individual situations and what needs to be done to help them persist and succeed.

Scope of Position
- This position manages, implements, reconciles, and supports Federal Work Study Program including the Room and Board Program.
- This position advises and serves as the campus contact for students who have questions or need guidance regarding federal work study eligibility.
- This position serves as the liaison between OU Human Resources, Financial Aid Services, campus departments, and local community service- learning agencies which employee both on-campus and off-campus federal work study eligible students.
- This position reviews bi-weekly time sheets, reconciles payroll, and monitors budgets for the federal work study program.
- This position helps to prepare the Fiscal Operations Report and Application to Participate in federal aid campus-based programs annually.
- Attends events or meetings and serves on committees.
- Oversees data and record maintenance, to include but not limited to student files.
- Researches, collects, and analyzes data or information and prepares reports or responses to inquiries.
- Assists with program planning, development, and delivery.
- May assist in the management of day-to-day operations.
- This position performs other duties as assigned.
**This position will be located in Norman with a flexible and/or part-time remote option possible after required training period.**
Job Location
Required Education Bachelor’s degree, AND:
- 12 months in student programming, student services, or closely related experience
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 60 months experience.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff
- Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Critical composition and proofreading skills
- Ability to read and interpret policy as well as State and Federal regulations.
Departmental Preferences:
- Financial Aid experience
- Accounting experience
- Human resources experience
Required Working Conditions
- Must be able to engage in repetitive motions and communicate effectively
- May be required to bend, lift, stoop, and carry
- Standard office work environment
