Plan, develop, implement, and provide project management for activities, services, and initiatives with the School of Business. Support the Dean and Associate Deans with internal and external customers, student opportunities and initiatives, business outreach, and other duties designed to facilitate student success.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coordinate School of Business outreach activities which include industry outreach events, middle school/High school camps, Business School to Skills events, high school visits/speakers, School of Business New Student Orientation sessions (NSO), College open houses, Career Fairs, Alumni events and four year partner presentations.
2. Coordinate transcripted credit/high school meetings, materials and requests.
3. Assist with retention efforts by following up with students after intervention has been requested which includes mid-term status follow up.
4. Ensure that all articulation agreements are up-to-date and work towards developing new articulation opportunities.
5. Assist with the development of public relations and marketing activities and materials to use with prospective students and businesses interested in partnering.
6. Participate in committees to support College initiatives and increase student enrollment and timely completion of degree (as needed). Serve as a liaison for various committees.
7. Act as a liaison for external business partners related to questions about careers, coursework, student numbers, career fairs, internship opportunities. Develop and participate in on-site and off-site recruiting events, as needed.
8. Lead and manage multiple projects i.e. course re-design, develop program Canvas site, update student program plans, help programs plan for format transitions.
9. Assist with the development of policies and procedures that affect how the department accomplishes its goals which includes triage of facility issues (rooms, technology, special projects).
10. Actively participate in Advisory Board meetings to identify and discuss events and outreach opportunities, and provide overall help and participation in these events

Minimum Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of the business fields.
  • Knowledge of competency-based education.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills - oral, written and listening to include ability to write project and grant proposals.
  • Ability to manage time and organize work.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal (staff, management, personnel) and external contacts (clients and vendors).
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to work processes.
  • Ability to manage/work on several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team and/or with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient with computer software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and databases.

  • EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Studies or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in project management and/or program coordination.
  • 3 years of system coordination and facilitation experience.
  • Supplemental Information

    The Coordinator-School of Business supports the division of the School of the Business and is available to start on/or before September 16, 2024.

    Typical hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    Salary
    Salary is commensurate based on experience and is listed at the hiring range of the current salary table.
