Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), the Postdoctoral Research Fellow will carry out epidemiologic and mixed-methods research focused on quantitative and mixed-methods research addressing sexual and reproductive health inequities among marginalized women and migrant communities. The candidate will conduct data analyses, lead and contribute to scholarly writing for peer-reviewed publications, coordinate project milestones, contribute to annual grant reports, mentor trainees, and conduct research with members of an interdisciplinary team. The candidate must have excellent skills interpersonally, in writing, in quantitative data analysis, strong time management and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize deadlines and work both independently and as a member of the research team. The candidate will also assist with mentoring trainees on the research team (e.g., Research Assistants).
The candidate will have opportunities to contribute to the following projects:
- An Evaluation of Sex Workers’ Health Access (AESHA)
This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, temporary position. The duration of the fellowship is one year. This position is designated as exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Department Summary
The School of Public Health (SPH) at San Diego State University (SDSU) is one of four nationally accredited schools of public health in California. Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated hiring range: $57,000 - $65,000 annually.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
