The OU Gallogly College of Engineering seeks a Program Coordinator to support two Online Masters Programs: the MS in Engineering Leadership and Management and the MS in Applied Computing.

The Program Coordinator will provide management and leadership of existing online graduate degree programs and assist in planning and developing new online graduate degree programs, potentially across the Gallogly College of Engineering.

The Program Coordinator will also assist in recruiting students, maintaining a successful online presence, developing and executing an effective communication strategy, supporting hiring processes, budgeting, website modification, and collaborating with OU Online and our Departments to support graduate students during their journey at the University.

Job Duties:

  • Create and modify websites and other social media tools related to online programs offered by the College and the Schools
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of efforts in recruiting students for the online programs, including preparing and delivering presentations in person and online, managing social media, and coordinating with the College and Schools communications team
  • Collaborate with OU Online to recruit and enroll students
  • Leverage OU student services resources to ensure smooth onboarding and degree progress for enrolled students
  • Support students, in person and online as required, to promote retention and achieve rapid degree completion
  • Develop policies and procedures for delivery of online degree programs in collaboration with OU online, the College and the Schools
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and accreditation standards for online education
  • Coordinate instructional design with the OU Office of Digital Learning
  • Collects and maintains various forms of data for the program.
  • Oversee delivery and assessment of degree milestones (e.g., general exams, capstone experiences, final portfolios)
  • Streamline online course schedules to support Faculty and Adjunct Faculty
  • Plan and execute program assessment
  • Oversee curriculum development and continuous program improvement
  • Assist in the development of budgeting and project plans as required for continuous improvement of the online offerings
  • Collaborate with SBSC, schools, and the Dean’s Office to hire Faculty and Staff
  • Travel in and out of state to promote online programs with prospective students and companies, attend conferences to promote and improve online programs, identify potential stakeholder groups that would benefit from existing or new Online offerings
  • Performs various duties as required to successfully fulfil the function of the position
  • Remote work may be possible with this position.



    Job Location

    Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in related field, AND:

    •  36 months in student programming, student services or closely related experience.

    Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's Degree for a total of 84 months experience.

    Skills:

  • Effective verbal and written communication with different stakeholder groups
  • Ability to communicate well and build rapport with students, faculty and staff
  • Composition and proofreading skills
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in navigating and maintaining databases
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
  • Effective in prioritizing among different needs
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to interpret and communicate policy as well as State and Federal regulations
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies. 
  • Certifications:

    • Valid driver's license will be required for travel in and out of state approximately 10% of the time

    • Frequent exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy periods

    Supervision:

    • 2-3 Staff (student services) will be hired in the future, student group
