Boston University’s Questrom School of Business is seeking a full-time lecturer for its undergraduate Management Communications program. In this program, students learn to think critically and to express critical thought clearly, concisely, and persuasively, both in writing and verbally.

Specifically, students learn to: apply critical thinking frameworks; craft well-structured arguments to diverse audiences; assess the quality, credibility, and relevance of evidence and sources; write simply and clearly in a professional tone; understand and apply principles of visual communication; master presentation delivery; and verbally engage with others thoughtfully and comfortably in the moment.

Required Skills

The lecturer must have:
• A proven ability to successfully teach Business Communications, with a
track record of strong course evaluations
• Excellent critical thinking/analytical skills, with the ability to grade
critical thinking, logic and research in papers and presentations in a fair
and consistent manner
• A passion for undergraduate education
• Business experience
• A Master’s degree or PhD
• Flexibility to teach early morning or late afternoon classes as needed
