Job Title:Clinical/Field Experience Staff, Physical Therapy Assistant Program
Pay Rate:$61.46 - $69.20 hourly
Position Type:Fee Based
Position Summary:All courses, including labs, are held during the daytime and are in-person.
Position Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Clinical/Field Experience Staff (CFES) works as a member of an instructional team of full-time and part-time colleagues in the PTA Department, to deliver high quality instruction to students. This position is responsible and accountable for instructing students in a laboratory environment, evaluating the student in the clinical skills, and monitoring performance goals. A CFES will participate in the lab courses of the PTA program helping students learn a variety of clinical skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are functions essential to perform this job:
1. Apply established principles, policies, and procedures consistently in accordance with assigned PTA program, and Frederick Community College.
2. Provide clinical instruction and supervision of students.
3. Evaluate student performance in the clinical skills.
4. Maintain clinical skills within the designated area of responsibility.
5. Establish weekly communication with assigned course coordinator.
6. Engage students in critical thinking, problem solving, and interpersonal workplace skills.
7. Infuse diverse, multicultural perspectives into the instructional process.
1. Associate Degree 2. Licensed Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant 3. Three (3) years of full-time work experience as a PT or PTA
Desired Qualifications:1. Prior classroom teaching experience 2. Ability to use varying styles and approaches that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multicultural workplace.
Work Schedule:Other: between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm. Exact hours are to be determined depending on course schedule.
