Job Details
Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for assisting in preventative maintenance activities for TTC's flooring. Duties include, but are not limited to, identifying and appropriately caring for varying floor types; operating various floor care equipment, including auto scrubbers, side to side, buffers, various sizes and types of vacuum cleaners, orbital floor machines, extractors and encapsulation equipment; and safely mixing and disposing of various floor care products and solutions in accordance with appropriate regulations and standards. This position may also drive golf carts, or other vehicles and perform routine operational maintenance of equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
Minimum and Additional RequirementsThis position requires formal training or trades experience that is directly related to the area of employment. Must possess a valid SC drivers' license.
Preferred QualificationsSuccessful candidate must have the ability to follow written instructions, to include Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) sheets, these are now SDS sheets policies and procedures; withstand the cleaning agents; stoop, lift heavy items and move furniture as necessary, all of which is required in the floor maintenance process; and use vacuums, buffing machines, floor sweepers, mops, brooms, wet and dry carpet extractors, hand tools, carts and dollies. This position is considered essential personnel and will be required to perform duties during after weather and in other emergency situations.
