Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information

The Department of Exercise Science and Sport Management is a growing, research active department focused on supporting student success to those enrolled in our Master of Science in Exercise Science, Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics, Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and Minor in Nutritional Science programs. With more than 10,000 square footage, of state-of-the-art laboratory space, we offer a student-centered and research driven educational experience.

Job Summary Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions in Prosthetics and Orthotics in the Department of Exercise Science and Sport Management for the academic year 2024-2025. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Area of Specialization: Prosthetics and Orthotics
• Teaching face to face lecture and laboratory courses to support the graduate program in Prosthetics and Orthotics.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• An earned Master's Degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Prosthetics and Orthotics, or a terminal degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a related field is required.
• National board certification from the American Board for Certification in orthotics, prosthetics, and pedorthics.
• Must be eligible for licensure as required by the State of Georgia.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior teaching experience including familiarity with prosthetics and orthotics laboratories.
