ResponsibilitiesThe Program Director oversees the Family Medicine Residency Program (“FM Program” or “Program”) under the guidance of the Designated Institutional Official (DIO). The Program Director handles the general management, curriculum development, hiring, and teaching and mentoring of the Program. The Program Director sets the strategic vision of the Program and ensures its standards, quality, and reputation. The Program Director is expected to support the collaboration of the FM Program with Healthcare Network’s clinical services in a way that improves value and quality, and that fosters a positive environment for professional practice and medical education. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the program in their vision and recruit core faculty.

- Clinical Practice in Family Medicine (FM) or applicable Subspecialty

The incoming physician will receive a faculty appointment through the Florida State University College of Medicine. This is a non-tenure earning role.
Qualifications- MD or DO from an accredited institution with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
- Ability to obtain Florida medical license.
- Must be board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM).
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of faculty and administrative experience in an ACGME accredited Family Medicine residency program.
- Effective professional management skills, including the ability to plan, organize and schedule work in an efficient and productive manner, focusing on key priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Outstanding interpersonal, leadership, mentoring and teaching skills.
- A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven health system.
- Ability to communicate with others in a clear, understandable, and professional manner in person, on the phone, electronically, and in writing.
- Ability to build and lead high-performing teams; must be able to provide clear and accurate direction and guidance. Strong administrative and team building skills.
- Candidates with recent scholarly activity such as peer reviewed funding, publication of original research or review articles in peer-reviewed journals, chapters in textbooks, publication or presentation of case reports or clinical series at scientific society meetings, or participation in national committees or education organizations are highly encouraged to apply.

The FSU GME enterprise is growing and aims to add more healthcare partners, residency programs, and residents.

Immokalee is an unincorporated area in Collier County, FL. Originally known as Gopher Ridge by the Seminole and Miccosukee Indians, Immokalee means "my home" in Mikasuki language. The Immokalee area is heavily agricultural. It is one of the major regions of tomato growing in the United States. The 2020 census population for Immokalee was just 24,557, the Median age was 25 years, and the median income for a household was a modest $24,315.
