Responsibilities and Duties
Review and Process Aid Status Change Reports:

    Review reports to ensure compliance with federal regulations such as over-awards, Pell LEU issues, loan limit issues, CFLAGs, etc., and adjust budgets and awards as needed.Review and adjust budgets and aid based on changes in enrollment during the schedule change (drop/add) period.Review and process aid adjustment requests such as housing status changes, additional loan requests, part-time adjustments, etc. 

Responsible for Management of PLUS Loans:

    Review PLUS Loans ready for processing.Post PLUS Loan to student accounts.Review PLUS Loan Application for endorsers.Review and resolve PLUS Loan discrepancy reports.Disseminate Bio/Demo and Address Conflict reports to processor for resolution.

Responsible for management of the Alternative Loan Program:

    Determine eligibility for Alternative Loans.Review certification through ELM database.Collaborate with Scholarship Unit in reconciliation of Alternative Loans.Resolve all discrepancies related to Alternative Loans.

Maintain current knowledge of federal/state regulations and institutional policy. Assist department with creating and improving office process and policies. Includes but is not limited to:

    Assist with development and maintenance of financial aid policy and procedures manual.Coordinate with other offices on campus such as Billing, Registrar, Admissions, etc.   Attend financial aid workshops, training sessions, and conferences.Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Technology Services.

Technology Unit Customer Service:

    Correspond with students and parents by phone, email, and chat.Occasionally assist financial aid call center as an on-call advisor.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Telework may be available for this position up to two days per week following the completion of 90 days of service in good standing.



Qualifications and Skills
Required:

    Bachelor's degreeOne year of financial aid office experience.

Preferred:

    Experience processing financial aid in a Peoplesoft Campus Solutions system.
