Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.

Job Summary

The Learning Management System (LMS) Helpdesk Specialist reporting to the Director of Distance Learning will work closely with the LMS Administrator to support the continuous operation of the university-wide LMS.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier l technical to assist users with their use of LMS technologies and applications.

• Serve as a contact for end-user support issues, including interactions with LMS and other vendor support services.

• Collaborate with ASU University-wide staff on configuration, maintenance, documentation, and support of LMS services in a production environment.

• Participate in the integration (planning, testing, and implementation) of new technologies including LMS updates and third-party products.

• Assist with the management of LMS standards, policies, and procedures.

• Provide high-quality customer service.

• Participate in and contribute to committees, work groups, and project teams.

Required Qualifications

Associate degree in Computer Science, Instructional Technology, or a related field

At least two years of experience working in an online learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Instructional Technology, or a related field

Proposed Salary

Salary range is from $29,569 to $40,000

Knowledge

• Knowledge of online teaming system platforms

• Knowledge of online course guides and/or policies

• Knowledge of instructional and/or quality course design and organization

• Knowledge of-web accessibility issues.

• Basic networking and web server knowledge,

• Basic technical knowledge for troubleshooting common online technical issues.

• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, communication, and facilitation skills.

• Self-motivated, attention to detail, quality-focused, team oriented.

• Basic reporting and presentation skills

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is essential.
