Job Summary:

Reporting to the Associate Director of International Recruitment, the International Recruitment Specialist serves as a primary point of contact for prospective students, families, and counselors. This position will provide comprehensive support and guidance through the application, admission, and immigration processes. This position will work as a key university representative to promote the University and work as a team member to execute the implementation of the international recruitment strategy plan. This position requires international travel with the goal of recruiting international students. Use data and trend analysis to develop and execute recruitment plans for assigned international markets, fostering existing partnerships and seeking new opportunities. Determine strategies for effective outreach for an assigned territory; develop and initiate communication/activities to accomplish enrollment goals, including but not limited to outreach via email, virtual meetings, and in-person visits.Represent Oklahoma State University internationally at college fairs, high school visits, and counselor events. International recruitment travel duration ranges from 3-4 weeks at a time. Advise prospective students and families on policies/procedures for admissions, housing, and scholarships, maintaining timely communication. Collaborate with campus entities to support enrollment efforts. Demonstrate self-direction, creativity, and strategic thinking in prospect development, yield enhancement activities, information services, and problem resolution. Make presentations to large and small groups of prospective students/families, on and off-campus, about the opportunities available at OSU Assist with daily office operations including answering phones, responding to emails, greeting and providing counsel to prospective students, families, and guests to meet our customer service goals. Participate in the development and execution of on and off-campus recruitment, conversion, and yield activities/events designed to market Oklahoma State University to prospective domestic and international freshman (and transfer) students.

Must be willing and able to travel in state, out of state, and internationally to represent Oklahoma State University at college fairs and high schools, which may mean occasional irregular work hours, including nights and weekends. International travel duration ranges from 3-4 weeks at a time. Travel requires a valid passport and driver’s license.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

One year of related work experience.

Must have a valid passport and driver’s license.

This job requires a high level of internal and external public contact serving as a liaison between the Admissions Office, various academic units, and other organizations within and outside of the university.

The following skills are required:
Demonstrated experience in public speaking and providing customer service
Ability to relate to people of all age groups, academic abilities, and diverse cultures
Highly organized and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently
Strong written, verbal communication and technical skills
Cross-cultural communication skills, agility and experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Quite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong work ethic and a positive, friendly, and customer service-orientated attitude

Ability to lift 45 lbs (recruitment materials)

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in customer service.Two or more years of experience working in higher education, in admissions, advising, financial aid, or a related department. Experience living, working or studying abroad.

Bilingual with preferred language in Spanish. Must be able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with an internationally diverse student population.
