*Minimum Hourly Rate:

$20.82

*(as of July 1, 2024 all positions will receive a 2% increase)

Job Description:

This position will be the primary administrative support and first point of contact for visitors for the Campus Safety & Security office. The individual in this position must present a positive, patient and tolerant attitude in all personnel and telephone interactions as well as presenting a positive image for the department. The individual in the position must consistently exercise courtesy, accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality, and strive to maintain a cooperative relationship with students, employees, community members and visitors to the Campus Safety & Security office. This position will support Campus Safety & Security in crisis events by collecting, analyzing, and disseminating information in a timely manner.

Job Duties:

Administrative Support for Campus Safety & Security:

  • Composing routine correspondences and scheduling meetings

  • Manage the reception area of the Campus Safety & Security office and greet/assist all visitors.

  • Assist Logistics & Safety officer with Building Coordinator process (throughout the year and the annual renewal process)

  • Assist with any special projects that arise.

  • Will work directly with ES staff executive to order and inventory supplies

  • Assist and complete travel expense and reimbursement reports

  • Manage and oversee Badgepass supply and order of supplies

  • Creating training materials for CSS presentations/departments

  • Schedule date, time and locations for department trainings and keep attendance records and notes

Budgetary Responsibility:

  • Budget monitoring for the CSS budget

  • Data analysis related to budget

  • Assisting with budget planning/development

  • Contact contractors as needed regarding billing concerns

Security Reporting & Analysis:

  • Maintain incident reporting logs

  • Can assist with answering service calls

  • Lost & found log

  • Collect crime data from local law enforcement agencies

  • Analyze data collected to assist the Campus Safety & Security department with efficiency/procedure improvements.

Crisis Management:

  • Assist & support in emergency and crisis incidents that come into the Campus Safety & Security Office. This may include, but is not limited to, notifying on call security of any issues, calling emergency personnel, etc…”

Systems Support & Management:

  • Set up and use a variety of complex computer and security systems; type detailed information or complete technical data processes.

  • Program, monitor, and assist with Badgepass and access.

  • Submit work tickets for department as needed.

  • Maintain upkeep of shared drive and CSS documents.

  • Monitor webpage and Emergency website make recommendations for improvements.

Other Duties as Assigned:

  • Will work closely with Security Technician III, Events to schedule Part-Time Guest Services employees for event coverage, training, and monitoring of hours worked.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a related field; plus,

  • Three (3) years of related work experience or 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination and/or work experience.

  • Good customer service skills

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Basic to intermediate understanding of computers and associated programs/software, specifically Microsoft office technology (word, excel, powerpoint, etc..)

  • Ability to remain calm during crisis situations

  • Basic, routine and advanced records maintenance.

  • This position requires the use of a company vehicle and/or personal vehicle for business travel. The selected candidate must successfully pass an MVR and be insurable under Aims insurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic, routine, or advanced knowledge surrounding CO laws & regulations

  • Basic and routine office management principles and practices.

  • Basic and routine accounting principles.

  • Understanding of organizational structure, workflow and operating policies & procedures.
