Job Summary

The Intermediate System Support Analyst is responsible for: System Evaluation, Installation, Support and Optimization System User Management CyberSecurity - Compliance Professional Development.

Responsibilities

System Installation and Software Support -
Advanced Level Research and evaluate software and hardware to assist in system installation, support and optimization. Install/upgrade and configure applications and components. Work with end users, ITS associates and/or the vendor to coordinate the changes. Create test plans and test new systems, version upgrades, and any system modifications. Update system documentation Confirm maintenance jobs are implemented. Troubleshoot and maintain UWG systems and web-based solutions. Provide direct daily support for user requests, incidents and problem management using industry best practices. Accountable for all items assigned in the ticketing system, including following up with customers on open tickets, documenting actions, and meeting SLA requirements. Collaborate with peers from other IT/Non-IT department to review and submit appropriate requests for Change Management Monitor alerts generated from management tools and applications to proactively address issues as they occur and escalate systemic issues for problem resolution. Maintain system documentation.

System Optimization and User Management -
Advanced Level Continuously identify and implement areas for process and systems improvement and provide solution recommendations. Troubleshoot user access issues. Manages system user permissions.

Cybersecurity Compliance -
Advanced Level Follow established security best practices to identify/avoid application security vulnerabilities. Conduct compliance activities. Participate in ongoing cybersecurity training . Conduct risk management activities to identify, prioritize and mitigate potential risks to supported systems. Daily Review for Security Incidents Patching and Upgrades Monitor Availability and Performance Participate in system restore testing.

Professional Development -
Stay abreast of current tools, training, and products available for system development and support. Complete UWG required annual training.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience
H. S. diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of direct system support experience; OR an Associate¿s degree and four or more years of direct system support experience; OR a Bachelor¿s degree and three or more years of direct system support experience. Advanced experience in a technology related position with training in system installation, support and optimization in a networked environment. Advanced experience with Windows operating systems. Advanced experience in technology related position with training in basic technologyrelated installations, troubleshooting hardware and software in a networked environment Advanced experience with collaborating and coordinating with internal IT teams to resolve support issues and implement new functionality.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Bachelors Degree

Preferred Experience
General MacOS support, configuration and administration. Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and using a command line interface. Scripting experience. Industry certifications for System Support. Ability to deliver quality clientfriendly focused service to a wide range of customer types including faculty/staff, and students. Experience working with student information systems in a higher education environment.

Proposed Salary

$64,000 Annually paid on a Monthly Basis.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES
General understanding of IT enterprises and knowledge of enterprise functionality effectiveness, efficiency, and applications. Understanding of database concepts and hands-on experience with SQL queries.

KNOWLEDGE
Working and current knowledge of basic software (e.g. Microsoft Products, Adobe Products, and Antivirus/Antimalware). General troubleshooting and testing procedures. Proficient with MS Office suite and network management software.

SKILLS
Good verbal and written communications skills and effectiveness and comfort level with presentations to multiple levels of an organization
