With nearly 20,000 students and over 1,000 faculty members, the College invites applications for 10-year full-time tenure track positions at all ranks in Art or Art History to begin in Fall 2024. The successful candidate will be able to teach lower level undergraduate art or art history courses. English fluency is a must. Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Art, Art History or related field. ABDs with anticipate completion by July 2024 are encouraged to apply. Candidates graduated from a Top 50 ranking university with master degrees in Art, Art History or related field may be considered at Lecturer level with a 10-year contract.

Ideally candidates should have a track record in scholarly publications and the strong potential to advance research further, or have a MFA degree. The academic rank and the competitive compensation and benefits package including housing, health insurance, schooling, 10% retirement contribution, home leave allowance and more will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. High research candidates with established publication record may be considered for a special research track, generous research funding, up to RMB 900,000 (about USD $140K) in tax-FREE salary (pending nationality), and additional allowance besides standard benefit package, e.g. extra RMB one million in housing subsidy. To receive full consideration, candidates need to submit a cover letter, CV, research statement, unofficial transcripts, and contact information for three references by email to: c.j@wzbc.edu.cn

A city of 9 million people with rich culture and culinary offerings, Wenzhou is only one hour by plane and just over three hours by high-speed train from Shanghai and Hong Kong.
