Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Tutor students in medical school, specifically the INMED program, in specific subject areas, including: Human Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology & Immunology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Histology and Medical Terminology.
  • Respond to student inquiries and requests for assistance
  • Develop individual learning plans that correspond to Unit and Step exam schedule and assist students in preparing for Unit and National Board exams
  • Identify and apply learning and teaching techniques to accommodate and support multiple learning styles and speeds. - (Essential)
Required Competencies
  • Tutor must be a medical or graduate student studying/working in a health-related field.
Minimum Requirements
  • Requires demonstrated proficiency in medical school courses and/or is highly recommended by a School of Medicine Faculty member to serve as medical school tutor.
  • Work up to 10 hours per week, specific schedule to be determined, can work virtually. May include some weekend or evening work.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
