Job Description:
Adjunct Instructors Needed for Fall 2024:
Subject area: Computer Science
The Computer Science department provides students with the skills they need to obtain entry-level positions in computer science and/or programming. Courses offered also prepare students in Computer Science and Engineering fields for transfer to four-year colleges and universities.
Courses offered in computer science include:
- CSC 225 Advanced Python Programming
- CSC-236 SQL Programming
- CSC 237 C++ Programming
- CSC 239 JAVA Programming
- CSC 240 Database Programming
- CSC 285 Advanced JAVA
- CSC 287 OOPL for Programmers
In your application materials, please include which classes you have the qualifications to and experience to teach.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely related STEM field. A Master's degree and significant, related, work experience or skills in various programming languages will also be considered.
- Experience teaching Computer Science at the college level; community college teaching preferred.
- Proven ability to work with diverse faculty, staff and student populations
Additional Information:
Salary: $1,397.00 per lecture credit

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a multi-campus urban institution, its main campus situated in the historic Charlestown neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. A second campus is located in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts; five satellites are located in the local communities of Cambridge, Chinatown, Revere, Somerville and Boston’s South End.
Founded in 1973 by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, BHCC enrolls more than 8,100 students in day, evening, weekend, web-based and distance learning courses and programs. The College offers more than 68 associate degree and certificate programs that prepare students for successful employment and transfer to four-year universities.
