Visiting Assistant Professor of Music Theatre - VoiceOklahoma State University
The Department of Theatre at Oklahoma State University is seeking applications for the Visiting Assistant Professor of Music Theatre-Voice position, which will commence on August 1, 2024. The candidate will be primarily responsible for teaching in the Department of Theatre, with additional teaching assignments in the Michael and Anne Greenwood School of Music. The successful candidate will play a role in shaping the future of our undergraduate program, equipping students with the skills, knowledge, and inspiration to excel in the field of music theatre.

Develop and teach courses in music theatre, including musical theatre vocal styles, and applied voice.
Mentor and advise undergraduate students, providing guidance and support in their academic and professional pursuits.
Engage in scholarly research and creative activities relevant to the field of music theatre pedagogy.
Participate in departmental activities, committee work, recruiting, and academic governance as required.
Proficient in teaching various vocal styles, including music theatre, classical, and contemporary commercial music.

Terminal degree (Ph.D., DMA, MFA or equivalent) in Music, Theatre, Music Theatre, or a related field.
Demonstrated expertise in music theatre pedagogy, with a record of excellence in teaching, research, and/or professional practice.
Experience working with undergraduate students in a university or conservatory setting.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
