Job Description:

Saybrook University is seeking two Federal Work Study Students to join its Department of Counseling in the College of Social Sciences to serve as Project Assistants.

Under the direction of the Chair, and other members of the department leadership team, the project assistant is responsible for providing general administrative support for the department in the following areas:

Clinical Experience Support:

  • Updating reports

  • Tracking Students progression

  • MOU Liaison

  • Build Out & Updates to Site Search Support Canvas Shell

  • Assist Students in searching for sites that would be approved by program

  • Assisting new sites through the approval process in Tevera

  • End of Semester hours tracking student support

General Program Support:

  • Assist program chair and/or coordinators with administrative tasks

  • Zoom Administration for Virtual Skills Clinic

  • Build Out & Updates to Virtual Skills Clinic Canvas Shell

  • Admissions Administrative Support

Position Requirements:

  • Excellent writing skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Knowledge of the Canvas system.

  • Ability to effectively use standard word processing programs.

  • Ability to effectively use the web for research and communication.

  • Knowledge of APA’s writing style requirements.

Position Qualifications:

  • Must be a full time Saybrook student eligible for the Federal Work Study program.

  • Familiarity with CACREP programs, supervised clinical experiences, and counselor licensing processes

  • Preference is given to Saybrook PhD students that have a license as a clinical mental health counselor.
