Responsibilities

This position serves on the leadership team of the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. They will support the academic mission and vision of the institution by providing leadership in policy development, operational management, and strategic planning to enhance the educational experience for students, faculty, and staff.

In alignment with the Provost's academic mission, develop, track, implement, analyze, and assess initiatives to enhance academic programs. Develop and maintain methods to monitor productivity and results of academic investments.

Establish collaborative partnerships with academic deans, directors, and other university leaders to identify areas requiring support. Evaluate proposals and develop plans for aligning resources and support services.


Direct administrative processes related to academic affairs. Develop financial plans for academic initiatives, including annual operating budgets and long-term projections. Coordinate financial and business activities with academic units and other university support departments. Implement best practices for efficient and effective academic operations.

Interpret policy in areas of responsibility. Design, review, revise, and update policies and procedures regarding academic administration, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and internal and external regulations. Engage with faculty committees to administer initiatives of the Provost. Monitor compliance with university policies and regulations, BOG Regulations, and Florida Statutes.

Represent the Office of the Provost to various committees and work groups. Provide guidance, strategic feedback, and other support to the Provost in activities related to the University Board of Trustees and Academic Affairs committee. Communicate academic affairs updates to the campus community through various channels.

Utilize various university data sources to plan for academic initiatives and assess progress toward outcomes. Implement assessment strategies to measure and maximize program effectiveness. Use findings to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Academic master's degree or highest-level terminal degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience.
