Description:Hofstra University is seeking a self-motivated, versatile, and proactive professional to join our team as Program Manager. Reporting to the Interim Director of Continuing Education, the Program Manager will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks across human resources, marketing, finance, reception, and other administrative functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assists with the recruitment process for approximately 300 seasonal employees, including organizing and screening applications and resumes and scheduling interviews.
- Coordinates new hire and rehire onboarding.
- Maintains employee records and assists with HR-related paperwork.
- Supports marketing initiatives to include drafting and distributing marketing materials, including presentations, flyers, and promotional materials.
- Helps organize, coordinate, and attend various marketing events and campaigns.
- Helps coordinate Open House and information sessions.
- Assists with collecting outstanding balances.
- Prepares and reviews finance paperwork to support the Continuing Education/Summer Camp programs, including invoices, contracts, and related materials for account receivable items.
- Responds to inquiries about Adult and Youth programs via phone, email, and social media.
- Enrolls students in registration system.
- Coordinates and implements miscellaneous tasks and projects to support the smooth operation of Continuing Education and Hofstra Summer Camps.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 1-3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a multi-functional capacity.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Flexibility and willingness to take on new challenges and learn new skills.
- Available to work occasional evenings and weekends, particularly during summer camp season.
- Experience with recruiting and onboarding preferred.
- Experience with coordinating and organizing events.
- Proficiency with databases including Microsoft Access.
