  • Demonstrate experience coordinating travel accommodations.
  • Prior experience in contract management.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Teams, or SAP
  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree or a combination of relevant experience and education that is likely to yield the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Job Description:

The Texas School Safety Center (TxSSC) is actively seeking candidates to collaborate closely with the Business Operations Program Manager to deliver efficient, proficient, and knowledgeable financial services. TxSSC’s business services refers to a range of specialized services that are designed to support Center initiatives and operations. These services are provided to internal departments within the Center, Texas State University, and external stakeholders. The role primarily entails the day-to-day management of contracts, travel arrangements, and procurement activities. The Business Operations Specialist will also offer technical support to TxSSC staff to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures, all while maintaining a high standard of customer service. Candidates for the Business Operations Specialist position should possess the capability to assess, evaluate, and demonstrate effective decision-making skills. Job Duties:

  • Efficiently manage electronic database records.
  • Facilitate timely and accurate processing of payments, reimbursement requests, deposits, and credit card payments.
  • Monitor contracts for compliance with performance metrics, including invoicing, amendments, renewals, and closeout procedures.
  • Prepare and process various documents, including vendor forms, purchase orders, invoices, reimbursement forms, correspondence, and reports, based on oral and written instructions.
  • Facilitate travel requests, coordinate travel arrangements, and process travel reimbursements.
  • Assist in overseeing the monitoring of training participants for Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) credit eligibility.
  • Interpret and apply relevant regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Provide technical assistance to TxSSC staff in relation to business service needs.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across all platforms.
  • Demonstrate professional interaction with internal and external stakeholders, identify problems, provide solutions, and follow through with a satisfactory resolution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
