Functional validation of results using standard molecular biology techniques will be performed in vitro and in vivo using patient derived xenograft line, primary samples and murine models. The ideal applicants should have a doctoral degree (PhD or MD/PhD) with ideally (not mandatory) background in cancer biology, tumor immunology, and immunotherapy with experience in:
  • Molecular biology for cell genetic engineering of immune cells (e.g., CAR T cell production) and tumor cells using techniques such as CRISPR, viral transduction, cloning, subcloning and plasmid transfection (e.g., PiggyBac)
  • Bioinformatics (bulk and single cell RNA sequencing)

  • Molecular Biology (e.g., RNA extraction/production/sequencing, WB, PCR)
  • Cloning, subcloning
  • Cell culture (tumor cells and immune cells such as dendritic cells and T cells)
  • Immunohistochemistry
  • Microscopy
  • Flow cytometry
  • Animal surgery and monitoring

PhD degree (within 3 years) in biological sciences (e.g. molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, biology, biomedical sciences, chemistry and related fields)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two first-author peer-reviewed publications in English language journals
  • Experience in mammalian cell culture and basic biology techniques including qPCR, RT-qPCR, chromatin immunoprecipitation, cloning, immunoprecipitation, fluorescence microscopy, and Western blotting

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Familiarity with computer languages is desirable.
  • Experience in Virology, mass spectrometry, transcriptomics, CRISPR-Cas9, protein purification

Special Instructions to Applicants:
Applications should include a curriculum vitae (CV), and a cover letter, and three letters of recommendations or contact information for three professional references. Review of applications will begin on immediately and will continue until a sufficient applicant pool has been established. Final candidate will be required to provide official transcript to the hiring department upon hire. A transcript will not be considered “official” if a designation of “Issued to Student” is visible.
