Job Summary

Facilitate the financial aid process as needed (assist at the "One Stop Shop" customer service desk, walk-ins, phones, application processes, events as needed)

Responsibilities · Assist students and visitors with the financial aid process

· Assist at the "One Stop Shop" customer service counter (Administrative Building-Floyd Campus)

· Answer phones (phone queue and regular phone line)

· Help with FAFSAs and other applications as needed, Verification, checking SCORE, schedule bill, and other basic financial aid processes

· Attend and assist with events (Student Orientation, Financial Aid Preview Days, FAFSA Workshops, New Student Financial Aid Events, and others as needed)

· Attendance at some evening and Saturday events (infrequently) may be required

· Provide excellent customer service

· Participate in any mandatory trainings

· Communicate with supervisor regularly

· Accept feedback and use feedback for growth in the position

· Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled at Georgia Highlands College
• Must be Pell Grant eligible (FAFSA)
• Must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
• Must have an unmet need based on total cost of attendance of student

Proposed Salary

$12.00 per hour,

up to 19 hours per week
