Visiting Assistant Professor in Computer Science - 000908

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Richmond invites applications for a full-time, one-year visiting assistant professor position in Computer Science beginning in August 2024. This is a non-tenure track appointment, annually renewable for up to three years, contingent upon performance, budget, and continued need. We seek candidates with a strong commitment to high-quality undergraduate education who will also enhance the scholarly and creative opportunities provided by our computer science program. The area of specialization is open, but a Ph.D. in computer science is required and must be completed prior to the start date. The teaching load is 5 classes over two semesters.

Applicants should have the potential and desire to commit to highly effective, inclusive teaching at all levels of the undergraduate computer science curriculum. Successful applicants will have access to travel funds to support their research. We are seeking a colleague who shares our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
