Job Details
The department of Psychiatry has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Sr. Program Coordinator to work on the UHealth campus. The Sr. Program Coordinator provides administrative support to faculty and acts as a liaison between faculty, students, and other Universities. This position assists in the development, monitoring, and reporting of departmental budgets.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
- Works closely with students to continuously evaluate their learning experience and improve quality and value of the program.
- Registers students for courses using University procedures and systems.
- Acts as an academic advisor for students in the program and as a career advisor for prospective and continuing students.
- Develops strategic partnerships with external entities and organizations.
- Creates monthly budget reports to ensure operations are within plan.
DEPARTMENT ADDENDUM
- Coordinate, and implement ALL TRANING activities such as seminars, conferences, workshops, short courses, training sessions, public events, and other related programs for the Center.
- Generate and coordinate new ideas and concepts to enhance or replace existing training program components.
- Coordinate the planning, execution, and follow-up activities for project/program-related meetings and invited speakers.
- Monitor program effectiveness, investigate trends, and recommend modifications to improve outcomes.
- Coordinate and participate in preparing and producing brochures, bulletins, newsletters, and other promotional materials and publications.
- Represent assigned programs on behalf of the Director to the University and the public, participate in local and state-wide meetings to advance the Center’s mission, and collaborate with external organizations to enhance cooperative efforts and resource utilization.
- Prepare budgets and monitor, verify, and reconcile budget expenditures
- Facilitate collaboration between different schools, community agencies, and academic support units throughout the University.
- Coordinate collecting, compiling, and analysis of program activity data.
- Prepare comprehensive, statistical, and narrative program reports and evaluations and suggest revisions to improve program effectiveness.
- Coordinate the scheduling of all program components.
- Draft and initiate correspondence, develop agendas, maintain calendars, assist in gathering reference materials, and coordinate and attend committee meetings.
- Assist with the development and implementation of program marketing strategies.
- Support student participants and program constituents with administrative assistance and support, maintaining files and program data.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Event planning and/or training coordination experience is preferred.

- Flexibility to work evenings, and weekends when necessary.
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
- Commitment to the University’s core values.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
