Hudson County Community College (HCCC) seeks an Instructor-Tenure Track, for the Nursing Program, Weekend/ Evening Division- OB/PEDS to join its award-winning and nationally recognized institution. Candidates should demonstrate sensitivity to issues of diversity and have the ability to motivate and assist students of diverse, ethnic, and racial backgrounds, sexual orientations, genders, cultures, and learning styles, as well as students with disabilities, or varied levels of academic preparation. The candidate will be an advocate for access to higher education, particularly for first-generation and immigrant students. The successful candidate will preferably have an understanding and a commitment to the role of community colleges in higher education.

Summary of Duties

Position Summary

Instructor-Tenure Track, Nursing is a Full-time faculty position for the Weekend/ Evening Division- OB/PEDS and will be responsible for successfully performing the professional duties of both didactic and clinical instruction. This is a Weekend/ Evening position and will assist in the coordination of weekend teaching activities. The Instructor will lend support and act as a mentor to Adjunct Faculty. The position also requires participation in College and Nursing Program Committees and Meetings that take place 2-3 times monthly on Mondays, and other regular standing meetings throughout the academic school year.

Min: $53,620.00; Mid; $76,032.00; Max: $95,744.00

Minimum Qualifications

RN Licensure with a Master’s Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. Two years’ college-level teaching experience preferred, preferably at the community college level. Demonstrates knowledge of modern pedagogical technology and its use in the classroom. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience managing large groups of staff. Demonstrates excellence in teaching and the ability to teach personnel from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. Preferred experience in distance education course delivery.
