We are seeking an Administrative Assistant who will assist students seeking tutoring services at SCC.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Provides welcoming and inclusive atmosphere at the ACE Center front desk.
  • Greets and directs students to all ACE Center services.
  • Schedules, reschedules, cancels, and manages appointments by phone and scheduling software.
  • Creates and oversees tutoring schedule and ensures tutors and tutees meet.
  • Answers incoming calls.
  • Prepares and manages monthly and semester reports and feedback.
  • Orders supplies, as needed.
  • Handles confidential materials, as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and one year of office experience; or high school diploma or equivalent and three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Word processing, data base and spreadsheet proficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Work independently and as a team member.Be committed to your work schedule.Ability to handle confidential information.

Hours/Work Schedule: Full time, 40 hours per week, all year, excluding college holidays.
