The University of Miami Health System is initiating a search for an Otologist ENT for our new Sole Mia location. This otologist will be running an independent clinic in an outreach location within the University of Miami Medical Group.
Essential Job Functions:
Clinic work entails everything from new consults to follow up visits, for the care of patients afflicted with Otology maladies such as all types of hearing loss, ear infections, inner ear dizziness, ear tumors, Meniere’s disease, Tinnitus, vestibular migraine.
The provision of care includes but is not limited to initial clinic assessments, preoperative workups, postoperative follow-ups, and new consults from the surrounding clinics. Common Otology office based procedures such as cerumen cleaning, intratympanic injections, tympanostomy tube placement, Epley maneuver, mastoid debridement, ear biopsy, myringoplasty, ear endoscopy. An ambulatory surgical facility will be available on site to perform common otologic surgical procedures such as microscopic and endoscopic tympanoplasty, mastoidectomy, ossiculoplasty and related ear procedures.

Thus, the incumbent will be expected to participate in didactic teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as attending and actively participating in seminars and other educational lectures. Teaching also includes participating in the supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows who are involved in direct patient care. As a faculty member, we also anticipate that you will be an active participant – attending meetings, Grand Rounds, and other University scholarly activities.
Desired Qualifications:
MD/DO required
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery
At least an Advanced Otology fellowship is preferred.
Florida medical license
