Job Summary

THIS POSITION IS ONLY FOR CURRENTLY ENROLLED CLAYTON STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS WHO QUALIFY FOR FEDERAL WORK STUDY!

The Cybersecurity Lab is looking for assistance with maintaining and expanding the capability and programs of the lab. Selected individuals will work in the lab during the lab open hours to support students and faculty. These individuals will work closely with the lab director and/or coordinator to test, customize, deploy various cybersecurity tools, tutorials, and applications onto computers in the labs. It is a great chance to have hands-on experience with cybersecurity.

(1) Supporting computer lab operations
(2) Supporting faculty and students to use computer software and hardware
(3) Troubleshooting computer hardware and software problems
(4) Keeping records of equipment and lab supplies
(5) Maintaining the security of the lab, and
(6) Assisting with the developing and administering cyber security lab tutorials

Required Qualifications

Prefer students in CS or IT related fields who have completed both computer programing I and II; or those who are familiar with computer networking, file systems and different types of operating systems such as Windows, Linux or Unix, McIntosh, Android an iOS.

(1) Know Windows and Linux OS.
(2) Be able to program in either C/C++/Java or shell scripting, Python, PHP, Javascript or similar languages.
(3) Possess the ability to articulate in written and oral communication.
