 Job Summary/Essential Job Functions

The position will coordinate and facilitate a board range of professional development in higher education, business training, or closely related field.  Position requires excellent interpersonal communication skills, superior client/customer service standards, and the ability to independently administer continuing education courses.  Demonstrated experience in program management, marketing, public relations, and budgeting, attention to detail and deadlines, and appropriate computer skills is essential.  Position requires the ability to demonstrate success in working in an entrepreneurial environment and having a good understanding of the business community.

  • Continuous design and development of new revenue-generating courses and certificate program, including needs assessment, solicitation of qualified instructors, working with faculty to develop course content, budget development, marketing, course delivery, and evaluation.
  • Supervising current courses and working with those instructors in marketing, on-site coordination, course evaluation and revision, and financial analysis.
  • Providing excellent customer service to students.
  • Marketing courses and services to the community through catalogs, brochures, newspaper and radio ads, press releases, personal visits and listservs.
  • Supervising support staff in preparing contracts, letters of agreement, textbook orders, class rosters, materials coordination, purchase orders, transfer vouchers, instructor payroll, etc.
  • Participating with committees and other assignments as necessary.
  • Directing and coordination of KidsU Summer Camps
  • Preparing and managing the publication of the CPELL catalogs and other marketing tools for course offerings.

     Education:  Bachelor’s degree:

    Experience:  2-3 years’ experience working with business or industry

    Professional experience related to position responsibilities
