Position Summary:

Henderson State University is seeking a Senior Software Applications Developer.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop system requirements and perform systems feasibility analysis for software applications:
  • Write scalable, clean code for software applications based on specifications;
  • Improve existing software applications;
  • Revise, debug, and update code and develop technical documentation for software applications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle;
  • Provide technical support to clients and train end users;
  • Collect software requirements and specifications from customers/users;
  • Evaluate products and technologies related to a project;
  • Develop client displays and user interfaces;
  • Provide user support for software applications and systems in consultation with end-users;
  • Perform complex programming and develop design for custom software applications that meet business requirements; and
  • Support and coordinate with software professionals in analyzing and installing tools and applications.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

5 years of experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, HTML and JavaScript.

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation OR 7 years of experience in job offered or a related occupation.

The Arkansas State University System is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees appointed by the Governor of Arkansas to serve staggered seven-year terms. The trustees hire the system president, approve the curriculum, annually approve an operating budget, and establish policies for the efficient and effective operation of the institutions.
