We are currently seeking a POL Telecommunications Operator who will advance the institutionâs proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.
The Opportunity
You: Youâre great at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, you have keen powers of observation and good judgment, and you can relay information quickly and efficiently.
Your mission: Youâll be the primary contact in the POL Dispatch Center for both the HCC community (when they need POL/security assistance) and for field officers (when they need assistance and/or information during both routine and emergency situations). The dispatch center is open seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
Your work: As youâre taking calls as described above, youâll maintain a computerized, active daily-duty record reflecting officer and duty location assignment. In addition, youâll maintain accurate and up-to-date POL and security report files, which may include highly sensitive and confidential information.
Weâll count on you to maintain 24-hour system-wide capability to coordinate notifications and communications needed in event of emergencies or disruptions of facility operations, and be able to operate the multi-modal mass-notification system foe relaying prompt, accurate emergency information to students and staff.
