Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide project management and coordination support to the Office of DEIA - including but not limited to strategic planning administration and DEIA event planning - which includes oversight of all project timelines, resources, budgets, and deliverables
  • Track the progression of ongoing projects and provide/develop reports as needed
  • Prepare agendas, organize meetings, take meeting minutes and staff DEIA meetings
  • Work with an administrative team to coordinate office-related procurement services for the Office of DEIA including budget adherence, and vendor management for the various administrative groups
  • Provide ongoing administrative and programmatic support for the DEIA leadership and team
  • Work with DEIA leadership, faculty affairs, and human resources to develop, implement, track, and expand DEIA initiatives into recruiting practices for both faculty and staff
  • Participate in developing, implementing, and tracking a plan to enhance diversity across the continuum of cancer research, education, and care
  • Perform other duties and assist with other projects as assigned

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Entry Project Coordinator:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, research, communications, accounting, finance, social sciences, marketing or other closely related field
    • Substitution: A combination of education and related professional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Intermediate Project Coordinator:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, research, communications, accounting, finance, social sciences, marketing or other closely related field
    • Substitution: A combination of education and related professional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
  • One year of professional budget, HR, financial, and/or project management experience in an academic, healthcare, and/or business-related environment
  • Prior experience working on DEIA initiatives, and a working knowledge of DEIA goals

Senior Project Coordinator:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, research, communications, accounting, finance, social sciences, marketing or other closely related field
    • Substitution: A combination of education and related professional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
  • Two (2) years' of professional budget, HR, financial, and/or project management experience in an academic, healthcare, and/or business-related environment

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a position that developed, implemented, and tracked DEIA initiatives in an academic medical center
  • Professional and progressively responsible project management experience
  • Proficient with University of Colorado finance systems (i.e. Peoplesoft, Concur, M@rketplace)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and SmartSheet software
  • Experience working in an academic medical setting
  • Experience serving as a program coordinator
  • Experience coordinating schedules, meetings, and events

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Possess an understanding of the DEIA related issues facing an academic medical center in Colorado
  • Be aware of DEIA related issues as they relate to an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center
  • Present and maintain a professional, polished, and positive demeanor/disposition while working with internal and external stakeholders in a dynamic, high-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills
  • Ability to represent the CU Cancer Center Office of DEIA with enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet competing deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex logistical problems and situations
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Creativity and innovation when it comes to designing marketing and communications materials
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to accomplish a variety of tasks and goals with overlapping timelines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:

Entry Level: $48,494 - 61,685

Intermediate Level: $52,773 - 67,128

Senior Level: $57,052 - 72,570

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
