Applications are invited for a Temporary 16 months part-time, 0.6 FTE post of a Research Manager within UCD School of Education.
The School of Education at University College Dublin seeks to appoint a Research Manager on a part-time (0.6 post) temporary basis for two years, beginning in September 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter. The appointee will assist with the formulation and implementation of a Research Strategy for the School of Education.
They will identify funding opportunities and inform academic staff accordingly; co-ordinate national and international funding bids; assist with the non-academic aspects of research proposals, with a particular focus on the financial elements of grant applications. In the post-award stage, they will assist academic staff with the administration of research accounts and other supports as necessary.
Where applicable, they will assist with the recruitment and management of postdoctoral researchers, especially in relation to pay and expenses. Ideally the appointee will have a background in finance with previous experience of performing the role of Research Manager. Applicants should submit a cover letter and curriculum vitae outlining their suitability for the role, including experience in preparing and co-ordinating funding bids and administering research accounts.

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
