The Department of Exercise, Sport, and Nutrition Sciences seeks a full-time non-tenure track Assistant Professor. Teaching assignments will include freshmen through senior level courses including exercise physiology and nutrition/sports nutrition, as well as electives in areas of expertise. We also seek a candidate that can assist in the development and growth of the wellness aspect of the program. Teaching load is typically 16 contact hours per semester, but may vary dependent upon other duties and responsibilities. As one of the largest undergraduate programs on campus, the successful candidate will bring a research agenda that can utilize undergraduate students, take a leadership role in the development and supervision of discipline-related fieldwork experiences (individual direct experiences and internal/external internships), advise Exercise Science majors, and be expected to take an active role in the department and campus community. Mount Union continues to develop strength in the health sciences and professions, and opportunities to collaborate across disciplines with both undergraduate and graduate students and faculty exist and are encouraged.


Earned doctorate in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or closely related health sciences or related discipline, required. Strong interest and experience in teaching in the area of corporate/community wellness and programming. Ability and desire to teach a range of nutrition courses is also desirable. ACSM's Exercise Physiologist certification and/or NSCA's CSCS certification recommended, but not required. Candidates must have a broad knowledge base in the health sciences (fitness across the life span) and commitment to teaching in a liberal arts setting. Previous college teaching experience preferred.

Compensation: Competitive, based on qualifications.
