Job Details
- Feed and water horses Clean and bed stalls Blanket and un-blanket horses (depending on temperature) Turnout horses and bring in from turnout Clean and maintain the various fixtures and common areas in the barns and adjacent areas. Operate the farm tractor and perform site maintenance as requested. Assist with any projects as assigned by the General Manager. Work closely with the General Manager to ensure the general well-being and safety of the facility and its horses.
- A successful Stable Hand will be responsible, ethical, take direction well, and work well with others. A basic working knowledge of stables operations and prior experience working closely with horses are also required. A qualified applicant will also be detail-oriented and able to work independently. Fluent English and/or computer literacy is a plus.

- Constantly stand, walk, twist/bend/stoop/squat, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds.Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull that weigh up to 60 pounds.Must be free of equine related allergies.
- Position may spend time standing, walking, lifting, twisting, turning, shoveling, lifting, climbing, throwing, and squatting Position often spends time outdoors, in all weather and conditions (which may include dust, rain, mold, and hay) Work requires daily interaction with horses

The expected pay range for this position is $21.15 to $25.00 per hour.
