The Board of Trustees of Bucks County Community College and its Presidential Search Committee are seeking an experienced college president with demonstrated leadership skills and accomplishments, and an advanced strategic understanding of today’s higher education challenges.

Bucks County Community College (BCCC) was founded in 1964 with sponsorship by the Bucks County Board of Commissioners and Pennsylvania State Board of Education. Situated in the southeastern corner of Pennsylvania along the NYC/DC corridor, classes are held on the College’s beautiful 200-acre main campus in Newtown Township, an Upper Bucks Campus in East Rockhill Township, and the Gene and Marlene Epstein Campus in Lower Bucks in Bristol Township. In addition, Bucks Online offers more than 300 eLearning and Hybrid courses taught by the College’s outstanding professors in small class sizes.

With an FTE of 4,240, and a total headcount exceeding 10,000, BCCC offers 96 transfer, occupational, and certificate programs through six academic units: Arts and Communication; Business and Innovation; Health Sciences and Kinesiology and Sport Studies; Language and Literature; Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics; and Social and Behavioral Sciences. Bucks County Community College combines traditional academic disciplines with flexible educational programs preparing students for a future of technological and social change. Bucks County Community College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The College welcomed a Middle State site visit team in spring 2022 for its decennial re-accreditation visit. The Commission reaffirmed accreditation. The next self-study is due in 2029-2030.

The President serves as the chief executive officer of the BCCC and is responsible for the day-to-day administration, management, leadership, and oversight of the operations of the College. The President leads strategically and works with a wide range of internal and external constituents to lead, support, and sustain the College’s vision, philosophy, and mission.

The successful candidate will possess, at minimum, a master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution; a doctorate is strongly preferred. The next Bucks President will have an outstanding record of success with career advancement in progressively more complex roles.

Completed applications are due by January 12, 2024. To ensure full consideration, you will be required to submit: 1) a current resume or CV; 2) a cover letter, no longer than five pages, addressing the ten leadership skills under “The Position” section; and 3) the contact information for three professional references.
