Job Description Summary / TWC Summary:Under general minimum supervision a porter is responsible for managing the building’s cleanliness and orderliness, together with the cleaning & maintenance team. Duties of a porter include ensuring the premises’ safety, operating cleaning tools and equipment, and performing basic troubleshooting. Other tasks include adhering to the highest safety standards and procedures and assisting with maintenance calls. A porter must have excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills to ensure daily smooth operations.
- Power washing
- Maintain trash compactors, trash shoots & dumpster areas
- Cleaning of light fixtures
- Straightening of furniture, removal of waste.
- Remove trash and replace liners in public (common area) trash cans
- Removal of furniture, trash, and other household items from vacated apartments.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range:Commensurate with experience
Education:High School diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent preferred
Required Licensing/Certification:None required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of:
- Routine, preventive and corrective building maintenance.
- Requires seasoned skills in the job function or professional discipline; performs more complex, but expected work for a fully competent incumbent in the function or discipline; demonstrates an understanding of most work routines, rules, procedures and operations; may give advice to other, less experienced positions or provide technical leadership to job classifications performing similar work.

One (1) year experience in landscaping and grounds operation
Working/Environmental Conditions:- Working conditions involves some exposure to moderate risk of accident and require following basic safety precautions.
- Physical demands include moderate to heavy physical activity that includes prolonged standing and/or walking, handling moderate to heavy weight objects and/or using or carrying equipment.
- Work may require routine travel.
