The College of Education and Human Development seeks candidates for a full- time, non-tenure track appointment for an Assistant Professional Track Faculty of Kinesiology with an emphasis on teaching exercise science-related courses beginning in Fall 2024.
Successful candidates will teach undergraduate/graduate level courses in Kinesiology, including (but not limited to) Exercise in Chronic Disease and Disabilities, Exercise Test and Prescription, Biomechanics, and Motor Development and Motor Learning, while working collaboratively with faculty to build a comprehensive Kinesiology program supporting all populations. The supervision of students in internship class is also possible. Mentorship and advisement of students are essential in addition to the involvement in campus activities and other responsibilities, as deemed necessary. Quality performance will also be expected in teaching with course leads (oversight) for lower level and core courses, student mentorship, community service, as well as active University Committee participation. Work Hours Depends on the course schedule. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, and weekend courses.
An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Kinesiology from a regionally accredited institution. ABD may be considered if completed by the beginning of the teaching semester.
Excellent skills in interaction and communication with undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff.
Teaching experience in Kinesiology related coursework at a college/university (Exercise in Chronic Disease and Disabilities, Exercise Test and Prescription, Biomechanics, and Motor Development and Motor Learning).

(3) unofficial transcript of the highest degree earned,
(4) evidence of any relevant certification, and
(5) the names and contact information for three professional references.
