Job Description

The Department of Curriculum & Instruction in the College of Education and Human Development seeks candidates for a full-time, tenure-track appointment beginning fall of 2024. The appointment is for an Assistant Professor of Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in science education. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in general topics of education such as pedagogy, curriculum, classroom management, and science methods courses. The regular teaching load is 3/3. Summer teaching assignments may be available for additional pay but are not guaranteed. Teaching assignments may include day, night, and/or weekend classes.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Doctoral Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Curriculum & Instruction or a related field in education

  • K-12 teaching experience with K-12 teacher certification

  • University teaching experience for a minimum of 1 year

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • University teaching experience for a minimum of 5 years

  • Experience working with culturally diverse populations

  • Experience with instructional technologies such as learning management systems and e-portfolios
