The Department of Natural Sciences, in the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks applications from qualified candidates for a part-time non-tenure track position in Water Resources Science and Technology specializing in the following areas: limnology, aquatic ecosystems, water chemistry, and field applications. Teaching assignments may include day or evening classes, online or in-person instruction, flexible to suit course schedule.
Required Education and Experience:
Master of Science (M.S.) in environmental science, aquatic ecological science, environmental engineering and management, or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Must have 18 graduate credit hours in related area.
Experience and interest in teaching undergraduates.
Ability to work with faculty and staff, ability to respond promptly to queries from students, faculty, and staff.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Working towards or has earned Ph.D. in environmental science, aquatic ecological science, environmental engineering and management, or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Experience in field investigation projects, with a focus on water resources preservation and remediation.
Experience in online, remote method of instruction.
Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology, and hybrid and online teaching.
This is a temporary, non-tenure-track, part-time position requiring teaching responsibilities. Applicants should submit the following documents for review:
