The University of Houston’s Department of Computer Science in the College of Natural Science and Mathematics invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large-Scale Machine Learning (ML) at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will be appointed at the Assistant (Tenure-track), or Associate Professor (Tenure-eligible) ranks, with a joint appointment in the Department of Electrical Engineering in the Cullen College of Engineering. The rank of the appointment will be based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The Department of Computer Science is home to a dynamic and interdisciplinary group of 30+ full-time faculty members and over 1,800 undergraduate and graduate students. The department is seeking outstanding candidates with the potential for exceptional research, excellence in teaching, and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students. The anticipated start date for this position is September 1, 2024.
