The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Western New England University seeks applications for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor Position, beginning in Fall 2024. Candidates for this position must have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and have expertise in Mechatronics, Automation, Controls, or Robotics. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Mechanical Engineering, pursue scholarly and research activities, and support our innovative freshman engineering program.

Additionally, the ME department hosts an active Master of Science program and a PhD program. The position is scheduled to start on August 1, 2024. Applications will be reviewed beginning November 15, 2023 and will continue until the position is filled. Applicants are requested to submit an application package, via email, as a single PDF File containing the following documents:

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. Expertise in the area of mechatronics. Teaching experience a plus.
